G. O. Geist, Ph.D., named chairman of the Psychology Department

Clinical Psychology Program receives full APA accreditation

Assistant Professor Willima G. Harris receives NIH grant for "Automated Mental Health Prevention System"

1985

College of Psychological Services is disbanded, eventually to become the private firm of Friedland and Marcus

Psychology professor Allen W. Heinemann, who holds an NIHR Fellowship, assumes position at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago

Dr. Chow Lam joins the Rehabilitation Psychology faculty

1988

Dr. Margaret Huyck is elected a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America

1989

The Industrial Psychologist ranks the Industrial/Organizational program among the top ten in the nation for its support of student research
