Qualified students make an application and are granted admission to both the political science BS program and the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law JD program prior to their freshman year. Admission to IIT Chicago-Kent is contingent on the following factors.
- Maintaining the character and fitness required by the bar examining authorities
- Taking the LSAT exam
- Completing a law school application
- Completing all undergraduate course requirements
Political Science majors normally complete their BS and JD degrees in six years rather than the usual seven years. Students in other majors may also finish early, provided they enter IIT with sufficient college credit or place out of a substantial number of courses.
