Qualified students make an application and are granted admission to both a social sciences bachelor's program (social and economic development policy or global studies) and the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law JD program prior to their freshman year. Admission to IIT Chicago-Kent is contingent on the following factors.
- Maintaining the character and fitness required by the bar examining authorities
- Taking the LSAT exam
- Completing a law school application
- Completing all undergraduate course requirements
Students in the dual admission honors law program complete their BS and JD degrees in six years rather than the usual seven years.
