Distinguished Professor of Psychology Patrick Corrigan and Sonya Ballentine recently testifed to Congress on the importance of patients helping other patients to navigate serious mental illness. Along with patient partner Marilyn Perez-Aviles, the team visited Washington D.C. where they were interviewed about their involvement in several projects aimed at using peer navigators to help underserved communities in Chicago.
